One great way to get involved with Hope for Guatemala, and get to know us better, is by working with us through a mission team or been an Intenr here at Hope for Guatemala. Past teams and Interns have helped with a variety of projects including painting, Vacation Bible School, construction on our first and third floors, constrution on a family home, serving the daily meal, spending time and playing with our kids, tutoring and school help, extracurricular outings and much more.

If you’re interested in more information about bringing a team to work with us, please  read the the followed information, we’d be happy to give you more personalized details about costs, projects, accommodations, etc. While Hope for Guatemala is a Christian organization, our mission teams are not limited to church groups or Christian organizations. Civic and community groups as well as interested families and groups are friends are welcome. We do ask that certain norms and standards be respected as we are a Christian association but we are glad to have those with a heart to help the hurting.

For Teams:

Hope for Guatemala is excited to be able to host your short-term mission team or group throughout the entire year.  VBS, sports camps, construction projects, and medical teams, are just a few of the things your team can participate in while in Guatemala.   With our program, we have the ability to use a wide-range of gifts and talents.  Even just giving out daily hugs is a huge blessing for the children of HOPE.  Teams are housed at the Nazareno Seminary located less than 10 minutes from Hope for Guatemala. For Interns:

Hope for Guatemala has an internship program offered throughout the year.  The length of internships varies.  Interns will perform a variety of jobs, ranging from helping with the day to day activities of the ministry, participating in projects based on gifts and talents, and helping organize and participate with mission teams visiting, to name a few.  Above all, our internship program exists to help others to be examples of Christ’s love, and servants for Him.  If you have any questions, need more information, or want to schedule a trip, please email Jose Armas at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
