Weekly Activities
Tuesday:
Every Tuesday is market day. Thousands of pounds and fruits and vegetables are collected from the Central Market CENMA during the day. In the afternoon, the fruits and vegetables are separated and what is needed for the week is taken to the kitchen. The remaining food is distributed weekly to each of our families at no cost.
During soccer season 2 to 3 practices are held during the week depending on the number of teams we have registered. Likewise games are 2 to 3 a week on Friday afternoons and Saturday. Soccer is coached by our friend, Fausto Arevalo.
Fridays :
Fridays are our Fun days! This is the day that we take to just hang out with the kids at our facilities and play outdoor games or play in our annex building with inside games. Also we often just sit down, talk and hang out with our young people.
Monthly Activities
Once a month we receive a donation from Casa de Dios, a local church, which has to be picked up and inventoried.
As time, money, and opportunity allows, children are taken on extracurricular excursions to the National Ballet, National Symphony, movies, park, bowling, and zoo and others as possible.
Future Projects
With the help of a third generation carpenter Fausto Arevalo we hope to launch or Carpenter shop to teach the youth a trade and to sale what they make so they can have an income and we can keep them in School out of the street and Ganges. (Coming very soon).
We also hope to get our Beauty Salon and Aesthetic workshop off the ground.
