McMinnville Christian Mission Team
Hope for Guatemala was fortunate to have our first mission team from McMinnville Christian School in Oregon this past May. Five teens, Alyx, Caleb, Emanual, Randy, and Quinn, with a heart for God, along with their teacher, Kendy Pearson, and her husband, Kevin, spent an awesome week here supporting Hope and our vision.
The team got involved with our kids performing skits and songs to share the love of Christ. They also took time to play with and love on each of our 3 groups.
McMinnville Christian's project while in Guatemala was to put a new roof on our annex building. Collaborating with Hope staff and contractors, they got the project well under way before heading back to Oregon.
We were greatly blessed by the time spent with this group and pray God show himself mighty in their lives.

HOPE FOR GUATEMALA
ESPERANZA PARA GUATEMALA
"I came that they may have life, and have it in abundance," John 10:10 Issue 18
Greetings!

I don't know if any of you have ever organized a fundraiser, but if you have, then you know all the hard work, time, planning, and sacrifice that goes into it. This update features three articles of different groups and individuals who did just that in order to bless Hope for Guatemala and the families and children we serve.
I'm humbled by the knowledge that God would put our children on the hearts of so many people, so far away so they can know He loves them. Thank you to each and every person who contributed to make these events and activities a reality. You truly share in the reward for what Hope for Guatemala accomplishes in Guatemala City.

Queen of Angels Catholic School Donates
Necessities to Hope's
Queen of Angels Catholic School in Roswell, Georgia has supported
Hope for Guatemala for a few years now by doing clothing and
school supply drives as well as financial donations.
This year, the school did their biggest project yet. Queen of Angels
staff and students chose to benefit Hope for Guatemala with a whole
school service project. Together, they collected hundreds of much
needed t-shirts, socks, and school supplies. There were also
donations of shoes and fun items that greatly blessed our children
and youth.  Thank you so much to Queen of Angels Principal, Kathy
Wood, and all the staff, students, and parents. A special thank you
also to Donna Christensen for making the connection between Hope
for Guatemala and Queen of Angels.

Hope Golf Tournament Success
Atlanta GolfHope's 4th Annual Golf Tournament in Atlanta, Georgia was a great success thanks to all those who golfed and gave and the hard work of Kyle Liming, Brandon Christensen, and many volunteers.
It's amazing to see God at work. How He can touch the hearts of men and women several thousand miles from Guatemala to give and support our vision to change children's lives in Zone 18 of Guatemala City. Brandon and Kyle work hard to make the tournament an enjoyable and rewarding experience for all those partcipating.
The golfers were able to see our children and facility first hand thanks to the internet and a webcam. Hope's kids greeted and thanked supporters live via web feed. Overall, all those involved were blessed. Jose and I want to express our gratitude for this event. The Hope Golf Tournament allows our ministry to bless over 200 children and their families on a daily basis. May God give back to you the measure of your generosity.

Angel Dominguez
Angel Dominguez
Angel is the youngest of 5 children born to his mother. He is currently 9 years old and in the 2nd grade. Angel's mother left each of his siblings, and him, in turn with his grandmother. He does not know his father and his mother visits occasionally and has taken him to live with her twice with promises of taking care of him. Angel's grandmother is the only real mom he knows and his aunts, uncles, and siblings care for him as well. Angel lives in a cinder block home with corrugated metal roof that he shares with his grandmother, 2 aunts, an uncle, and 3 of his siblings. His grandmother works making tortillas or washing clothes to help provide for Angel and his siblings. He is a kind and bright, young man who does well in school, and would like to be a professional driver when he grows up. Angel has been with Hope for Guatemala for 3 years. The ministry has been literally a life line for him as his grandmother and aunt testify. Hope provides love, security, and encouragement along with nutritious meals and school assistance for Angel.
